~Charles Hill "Charlie" Prestwood~
C.H. Prestwood, 68, of Big Sandy Mush section, Leicester, died about 10 p.m. Monday (May 23, 1960) in an Asheville hospital following a long illness.
Mr. Prestwood was a native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, a farmer, and a former employee of the Carolina Tobacco Warehouse for 21 years.
Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Sallie Stines Prestwood; four sons, Morris, Hurley and Revis Prestwood of Leicester and Dan Prestwood of Asheville; two daughters, Mrs. Shelton Ingle and Mrs. Weaver Ball of Leicester.
Also one stepdaughter, Mrs. Ernest Reynolds of Canton; 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was a member of the Brick Methodist Church on Big Sandy Mush.
