Nelson Kidder was a successful farmer. He was a strong Democrat, did not take an active part in political matters, though he was naturally one the leading men of the community. He was a church worker, belonging to the Methodist denomination and was one of twelve men who built the Brook Church at East Alstead. Photo on the left of the church.
