Mr. Joel Franklin McClendon, age 54, of Locust Grove passed away May 8, 2007 at the Henry Medical Center. Mr. McClendon was born in 1953 in Fulton County, GA. He was a graduate of Stockbridge High School and enjoyed deep-sea fishing, hunting, fast cars, dancing and Harley Davidson motorcycles. He owned and operated McClendon Grading, Inc. He was preceded in death by his father, Lee Collins McClendon. Survivors are his loving wife, Dee McClendon of Locust Grove; children, Lindsey McClendon of Savannah and Joe and Kelli McClendon; mother, Shirley Wells McClendon of Stockbridge; brothers, Charles McClendon of Locust Grove and Terrell McClendon of McDonough; sister, Cheryl Ann Smith of Lawrenceville; niece and nephew, Morgan and Michael McClendon. Funeral services will be Friday, May 11, 2007 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with his brother-in-law, Phillip Suggs officiating. Interment will be at Fairview Memorial Gardens.
