James Boren was born in 1793 Robertson, Tennessee He died sometime between the 1860 and the 1870 Census in Marble, Madison County, Arkansas He was buried in McClain Cemetery close to their home in Marble, Arkansas in a grave with no marker.
His family were hunters and trapers. He and a number of his brothers came from Tennessee to Illinois, to Missouri to Arkansas Territory, before it was a State.
His parents were William Boren and Mary McIntosh who both died in Robinson County, Tennessee according to Judy Milum "Boren's of the Ozarks"
He married Rutha Hargis born Kentucky and they had 7 children.
