Joe, was born to Joseph and Vera Felton in Brooklyn, N.Y. but resided in Carrollton Alabama during his formative years. I recall meeting Joe in 1969 when we were entering James Madison H.S. in Brooklyn, N.Y. Joe was a true stand-up guy and was well loved by family and Friends. Joe excelled in sports and played H.S. Football. With Lightning speed and a body that felt like steel coupled with grit and determination made him everbodys favorite. Joe also had a fondness and ear for good music and would DJ at various clubs in NYC. At the age of 26 Joe enlisted in The U.S. Army and retired as Command Sergeant Major. It deeply saddened me to hear from a mutual longtime friend about Joe's passing but we felt blessed to have known him. May he rest in Heavenly Peace.
