Reverend Dallas E. Pulliam, 79, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, died September 2, 2012, at Treasure Coast Hospice in Fort Pierce, Florida. He was born in Folkston, Georgia. Reverend Pulliam moved to Port St. Lucie from Greenbelt, Maryland in 1992.

Reverend Pulliam was called to the Gospel Ministry at age 15. Under his leadership, the mission at Sunrise, Florida was constituted into a Church in December of 1966. In Florida, he served the Gulf Stream Association as Treasurer and Training Union Director. He was also active in the D.C. Baptist Convention Committees including Programs, Resolutions, World Missions Conference and Nominating. He was active in the D.C. Baptist Convention's Pastors Conference, serving terms as President and Program Chairman. He was a trustee of the Southern Baptist Convention Annuity Board for eight years. He was most recently actively involved at Chapel By The Sea Baptist Church.

Reverend Pulliam was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Pulliam; and brother, Thomas Pulliam.

He is survived by step-sons, Stephen Lane, Port St. Lucie and William Lane, Vero Beach, Florida; seven grand children; and thirteen great grandchildren.

Funeral Information

A visitation will be held Thursday September 6th from 10 am to 1 pm with a funeral service at 1 pm at Yates Funeral Home & Crematory, Port St. Lucie. Burial will follow at Rolling Oaks Cemetery in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
