John Morgan Bo" Crute was born on November 14, 1932. His parents were Charles Palmore Crute, Sr. and Virginia Ruth Puryear Crute. They preceded Bo and his brother, Taughty Crute, in death.

Bo was a proud United States Navy veteran, who served his country during the Korean War. He was also a proud member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He was a hard worker and very proud of his family. He provided for them by not only farming all of his life, but also working at and retiring from, the local Burlington Mills factory. He also worked for the Patchwork Shop as a salesman.

He was a member of Amis Chapel Baptist Church, where he and his wife, Faye Pittard Crute, faithfully brought their family and served their Lord. Bo filled several roles of leadership at Amis Chapel during his lifetime.

Bo is survived by his bride, Faye, one daughter, four sons and daughters-in-law. He is also survived by 13 very special grandchildren and twelve precious great-grandchildren, as well as a sister and three brothers. He will be sorely missed by his beloved family, his many friends and co-workers, and his church family. His bright smile and humble spirit will always be missed.

The services for Bo were held on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at Amis Chapel Baptist Church, with interment following in the Amis Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Terry Howard and Rev. Jim McAlister officiated.

Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home assisted the family in their time of grief.
