Ralph Phillip Smith, 75, of Interlachen, passed away Thursday, August 23, 2012 at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville following an extended illness. A native of Palatka, he had been a lifelong resident of Putnam County.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Cole Smith and Eva Louise Keene Smith and a brother, Anthony Joseph Smith.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Joyce Long Smith of Interlachen, 3 daughters, Debra Gastelum and husband Alex of Palatka, Garnette Knapp and husband Gregg of Interlachen and Pamela Joyce Smith also of Interlachen, a brother, Robert Lee Smith and wife Tangerene of Florahome, 5 grandchildren, Christian, Evan and Elise Gastelum, Jenna Smith and Shannon Smith and numerous nieces and nephews.
Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
