He served in 3 wars - World War II in the Army Air Corp as a bombardier,
in the Army ~ Korea 1951-52 ~~ Vietnam 1967-68. He retired in 1968 at Fort Polk, La.
He then opened his first restaurant "Ye Olde Coffee Shop' in DeRidder La. He also opened Pinkley's Easy Eatin' Drive-Inn on Hwy 171 S which was THE place to hang out all through the late '60's/'70's/'80's!
He finally closed the doors & retired from that in 1986.
