Our community was saddened to learn of the death of Mrs J B Scarbrough. She was born July 13, 1890, the daughter of Mr and Mrs Jim Wyatt at Winesap. She married James Scarbrough on April 5, 1908 and they had 2 children, Coy William, Valparaiso, Ind; Ola Dell Thompson, Pleasant Hill.
Mrs Scarbrough died at the family home in Pleasant Hill Sunday, July 12.
The first part of their married life was spent at Clifty, moving to Pleasant Hill in 1924.
She first belong to the Baptist church then joined the Congregational church when they moved here.
Additional survivors are her father, Jim Wyatt; 6 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mrs Flora Norris and Mrs Florence Norris; 3 brothers, Brownlow, Robert and Sanford.
Funeral services were held at the Community Church Tuesday at 2 p.m.
