Former footballer. He was the goalkeeper who played for the Brazilian national team winner of FIFA World Cup in Mexico 1970, which is considered the best team of all time. He also played for Clube Atlético Juventus (1951 to 1954), Associação Portuguesa de Desportos (1955), Nacional Atlético Clube (1957 to 1958), Associação Portuguesa de Desportos (1958 to 1968) and Fluminense Football Club (1968 to 1977). Cause of death: emphysema.
