He was a retired coal miner and a member of the Dripping Springs Baptist Church.
He united in marriage with Axie Messer on Dec. 28, 1938, and to this union 10 children were born. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Axie Bargo; three sons, David Bargo, Ledas Bargo, and Dallas Bargo; one daughter, Virginia Ann Bargo; five brothers, Gilbert Bargo, Hobert Bargo, Garrett Bargo, Hubert Bargo, Arthur Bargo; three sisters, Edna Smith, Gladys Grubb, and Easter Bargo.
Survivors include three sons, Denver Bargo and wife Emily of Girdler, Loyd Bargo and wife Linda of Cannon, Willard Bargo and wife Mossie of Callebs Creek; three daughters, Christine Jones and husband Harvey of Belleville, MI, Anna Lois Bargo of Callebs Creek, Wilma Smith and husband Harold of Callebs Creek; one sister, Berniece Mills of Boone Height, and one brother, John Bargo, Jr. of Boone Height; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services were conducted at the Dripping Springs Baptist Church on Aug 18 at 2pm with the Rev. Rickey Broughton, the Rev. Silas Wayne Mills, and the Rev. Columbus Hensley officiating. Mr. Bargo was laid to rest in the Callebs Creek Cemetery. Hampton Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
