This John Routh is not the son of Jacob and Martha Redfern Routh. Their son married Elizabeth Mashman, died in 1837 and is buried in Dandridge, Jefferson County TN. He is my 2X grgrandfather.

Your John Routh may well be the son of one of the other Jacob Rouths. Think there were three of them.
