I had the grand pleasure of communicating with family historian F Ogg before her death.She wrote the Mcginness family history for Franklin County. Alexander April 24, 1824-October 27, 1904 the son of John McGinness, came from County Down Ireland in 1849. He married Julia Ann Overholtz(s,ser) and lived in OH before moving to Franklin Co., KS. They had 16 children: Hannah, Margaret, John, Joseph, Julia, James, Sarah, Daniel, Lewis, Isaac, Robert, Mary, Ella, Alvah, Ross and baby McGinness. Alexander married January 03, 1851 to Julia Ann Overholts,February 12, 1834-January 07, 1925; here they are both buried along with three of their daughters in a quiet beautiful well kept country cemetery :Julia Ann McGinnis February 01, 1860-October 10, 1889, Sarah Catherine McGinnis September 26, 1863-May 14, 1892, Mary Rebecca McGinnis December 10, 1877-December 13, 1882
