Mrs. Mashburn was born in San Antonio, TX, March 4, 1954, a daughter of John Frank Fields and Mary Frances Riley Fields. Prior to her disability, she was employed by Carrick Turning Works and Jeanette Maternities for many years. Belinda was a member of Trindale Community Church. She was preceded in death by her father and a brother, Johnny Fields. Belinda was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Surviving are her husband of 42 years, Sammy Mashburn of the home; two sons, Ray Mashburn and wife Tammy of Thomasvile and Jeff Mashburn of the home; three grandsons, Tyler, Hunter, and Jeffrey L.T. Mashburn; her mother, Mary Frances Kennedy of Thomasville; three brothers, Rev. Thomas Fields and wife Debbie of Thomasville, Billy Fields of Thomasville and James Fields of Corpus Christy, TX; and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Belinda's Life will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Bethany Baptist Church, 574 Tower Rd., Thomasville, by the Rev. Jeff Ledbetter. Burial will follow in Floral Garden Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church Saturday from 12 until 2 p.m. Davis Funerals and Cremations is serving the family.
