The funeral of the late Dr. T.J. Cherry, who died Sunday at St. Vincent's Hospital, took place yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock from the residence of Mr. Nathaniel Tatem on First street, and was conducted by Rev. Robert Gatewood and Rev. M.W. Butler. The following gentlemen acted as pall-bearers: Messrs. J.L. Lawrence, Dr. George W. Wallace, Dr. George N. Halstead, S.Ranson, W.H. Kirby, of the Niemeyer-Shaw Camp, C.V., and Mr. Steven Butler, citizens.
The remains were conveyed to Magnolia Cemetery, of Berkley, by Undertaker Williams, where they were laid to rest.11/01/1841 - Born, Portsmouth, VA
