Joseph T. Massengill, 28, died Saturday, Aug 5, 1989, as a result of a motorcycle accident. He was born July 25, 1961, in Middlesboro, son of Nathan and Wilma Massengill of Harrogate. In addition to his parents, he is survived by one son, Joshua Lee Massengill, Harrogate; daughter Chesney Nicole Massengill, Harrogate; sisters, Sherri Taylor and Karen Massengill, both of Harrogate; brothers, Edward Massengill, Tazewell, Tenn, and Brian and Michael Massengill, Harrogate; maternal grandmother, Marie Collins, Bedford, Ohio; paternal grandmother, Mossie Massengill, Harrogate; and a host of family and friends.
Services were at 8 P.M. Monday at Reece Valley Chapel with the Rev. Buster Davis officiating. Music was provided by the Brooks family. Graveside services were to be at 10 a.m. today at England Cemetery.
Pallbearers were to be Tim Gilbert, Bobby Gilbert, Eddie Gilbert, Jeff Davis, Terry Massengill, David Hatfield, Bily Mize, and Greg Valdenor.
Reece Valley Chapel Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
