ABERDEEN - Mrs. Mary Margaret Moffitt Fogleman, 90, of Aberdeen, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012, in her home. She was born Oct. 22, 1921, in Randolph County, to the late Janus and Lee Moffitt. She was a longtime member of Page Memorial United Methodist Church in Aberdeen, where she was a former lay speaker in the church. She and her husband co-founded the Good Samaritan Fund at Page Memorial United Methodist Church. She and her late husband, Glenn Fogleman, founded and operated Aberdeen Tricot & Aberdeen Fabrics. She was a loving and giving mother who gave herself unselfishly to her six children and her husband. She is survived by five sons, Craig Fogleman and wife Sharon of Seven Lakes, Dean Fogleman and wife Linda of Aberdeen, Dr. Hal Fogleman and wife Julie of Laurinburg, the Rev. Dr. Jan Fogleman of Raleigh, and Dr. Eric Fogleman and wife Vickie of Aberdeen; and a daughter, Beth Fogleman Gozon and husband Mike of Cary. She also is survived by 22 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, Jesse Moffitt and wife Frances of Asheboro; sisters-in-law, Janet Miller of New London, Ursula Loy of Greenville and Maxine Pike of Siler City; and a loving and caring caregiver for many years, Mary Fowler of Southern Pines. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, L. Glenn Fogleman; daughters-in-law, the Rev. Shelley Abbey Fogleman and Frances Maples Fogleman; three grandchildren; and four brothers, Henry Moffitt, Howard Moffitt, Eugene Moffitt and Joe Moffitt. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, 2012, in Page Memorial United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Wilbur Jackson and the Rev. Jane Leechford officiating. Burial will follow in Bethesda Cemetery in Aberdeen. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight, Friday, Jan. 13, 2012, at Boles Funeral Home & Crematory in Southern Pines.
