I noticed a findagrave entry at this cemetery for a Julia Price Wyeth, #94868936, whom I believe is one of Mary Jane Price's sisters of Hinesborough IL [family clipping from The Tribune Telegraph, Weds Sept 14 1898, re visitors to see parents in Rocksprings, Meigs Co., Ohio] Mary Jane Price Briggs died at age 59 yrs, 2 mos, 5 days as per the obit; dates given here are sourced from this old scrapbook clipping which seems to be from a local Oakland, IL newspaper, The Messenger.
See the Pat & Paul Coffman's lovely hardbound book, "The Bells of Pleasant Ridge" southern IN for the Bell family cemetery in southern Indiana and info (researched for decades by Bell cousins: Oliver Pape Bardes, Sr. (dec'd April 2011), Lester Maxwell Bell (dec'd c2010 ), and author, Mr. Jack Leslie Barron of Topeka Kansas).
After a trip to the originally presbyterian, Union Cemetery, in June 2013, I can confirm that the Wyeth/Price family graves are the very first ones, on the left side of the drive-in entrance, in the older section/main portion of the cemetery. The Briggs stone was impossible to spot, and it turns out that ATT lacks cellular coverage in this cemetery-so accessing findagrave to see the wonderful photos while on-site did not work. But that Wm Hearn monument that shows in the background of the kind findagraver, Carol's photo was the best clue. A second trip there solved the riddle; Mary Jane "Mollie" Price Bell Briggs's shared grey marker is on the left side of the main entrance; drive straight back until the road splits, then drive to left. The distinct Hearn monument you will then encounter quickly (on car's right), with the grey Briggs marker (with no writing on the back) on the opposite side of the driving lane from Hearn. Heartfelt thanks go to kind findagraver, Carol for making it possible to see Mary Jane Price's final resting spot!
Adjacent to the Briggs's lovely grey marker is a barren, flat greyish cement slab/top of casket/foundation? This seems odd, so I am uncertain if this may be Mr or Mrs Briggs? Oh perhaps it is Mary Jane Price Bell's brother in law (from her first marriage) Gabriel Bell (son of Uriah Bell), findagrave #95286120, who gave his life for us during the Civil War. If this is Gabriel, he deserves a replacement Veteran's marker or to have his casket reburied?
