Clifford N. Seals, 82 years, of Temperance, MI, died Tuesday, September 7, 2004, in his home surrounded by his loving wife and children. He worked for E. I. DuPont de Nemours for 33 years and also was a farmer all his life. The son of Glenn and Nellie (Brooks) Seals, he was born January 8, 1922, in Tazewell, TN. A WWII US Army veteran, he served in Europe and was wounded in Normandy and received the Purple Heart. June 2, 1945, he married Rita Marion Trabbic in St. Joseph's Catholic Church Erie, MI. Clifford loved wood working and primitive art. He made bird houses and miniature furniture which he hand painted. He also enjoyed yard work, his vegetable garden and his 3 cats. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone that needed it. Clifford had a great disposition, was an excellent father with a great sense of humor. He was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Temperance, MI.
He is survived by his loving wife, Rita; children, Pamela (Roger) Upp, Paul (Robin) Seals, Sandy (Ed) Brushaber, Brian (Sandi) Seals, Kevin Seals, Eric (Kathy) Seals, Julie (Ray) Wilson Jr., Todd (Cathy) Seals; 21 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Visitation will be held Friday from 2 till 8 p.m. in the Bedford Funeral Chapel, 8300 Lewis Ave., Temperance, MI, where Scripture services will be held Friday at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church celebrated by the pastor Rev. Daniel Nusbaum with interment in the church cemetery. Military Honors conducted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Memorials may be made to the Visiting Nurse Hospice Maumee, OH.
