Letter from brother Jonathan Owen to sister Mary Eleanor Owen Coles living in Texas: "Henry Co, Ga} June 27th 1845 . . . Sister Sarah is in very low health indeed. She has a cancer on her upper lip which pains her very much. She has also got the consumption or some breast complaint which I fear will take her off before long without a great alteration for the better. She has had eleven children. Ten is now living. Two daughters married, the oldest Eleanor has one child, a son. . . "
