A much-loved father, brother, son and friend, Leland Fuller of Sandpoint, Idaho, 62, passed away Saturday, Aug. 4, while fly fishing at the Clark Fork River.
Mr. Fuller was born Jan. 25, 1950, in Mobile, Ala., to Opal and Foster Fuller. He attended Satsuma High School in Satsuma, Ala., where he played on the football team, as well as in the band. Mr. Fuller continued his education at Louisiana College, where he majored in music.
He served as the music minister in several churches in Louisiana and Texas, and in 1997 he began working in assisted living facilities in Denver, Colo. His career in the senior living industry led him to Seattle, Wash., and then to Sandpoint, ID.
Mr. Fuller served as the general manager of The Bridge at Sandpoint, an assisted living community, where he has been beloved by the residents and staff for his enthusiasm, kind heart and passion for music. He played the guitar, banjo and piano, sometimes performing for his residents who always enjoyed hearing him play.
His other hobbies included hunting, fishing and working on old cars.
He is survived by three daughters, Lauren Woods of Longview, Texas, Lindsay Fuller of Austin, Texas, and Kyle Fuller of Bellingham, Wash.; and a brother, Elath Fuller of Satsuma, AL.
