PORT MATILDA — Services for Elmer Edmond Abrino, 49, who died Tuesday, April 14, at Centre Community Hospital in State College, will be held Friday at the Leavy-Valigorsky Funeral Home, Curwensville, at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Thomas Fetter officiating. Interment will follow in Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.
Friends will be received at the funeral home today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and until the hour of the service o Friday.
Born March 27, 1938, in Clearfield, he was a son of Eugene E. and Martha (Hoover) Abrino.
Mr. Abrino was a member of Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church and the Port Matilda Fire Co.
He was a forest fire warden for the Moshannon District for many years. He was also a barber in Port Matilda for 15 years and in Centre Community Hospital for 12 years before retiring in August 1986.
He is survived by his mother of Curwensville; two sons, David of Tyrone and Eugene of Port Matilda; and a brother, Allen of Butler.
He was preceded in death by his father in 1976.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Port Matilda Fire Co. or a charity of one's choice.
