Jerry Leo Monday, resident of Oklahoma City, died Sunday, August 5, 2012 on his 77th birthday. Jerry was born August 5, 1935 in Morris to Jackson Lewis and Ella (Scott) Monday. He graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma and retired from AT&T after 35 years as an engineer. Jerry loved golfing and traveling and was an OU fanatic. He was preceded in death by his parents, step-mother, Susie Monday, four sisters, a nephew and a step son. He is survived by a sister, Marijo Spottedwolf and husband Pat, a brother-in-law, Charles Campbell, nieces and nephews, Bernadette Whitlow, Lewis Monday, Charlotte Vrazel, Nathan "Skeeter" Tinney, Jerry Baker, Wilson Herrod, Jerry Herrod, Patricia Herrod, David Herrod, Jacqueline Mason, Peter Yardy, Rebecca Rowe, Robin Yardy, John Yardy, and Anna Spottedwolf, special friends, Debbie Bartosoresky and husband Mike Jones, Terrie Walker and husband Joe and Mac Englebretson and Jerry former spouse and good friend, Paula Monday. He is also survived by a host of other family members and close friends. A wake service will be held 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, August 9, 2012 at the Big Cussetah United Methodist Church with Reverend Newman Frank officiating. Interment will follow in the Big Cussetah Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Pee Wee (Nathan) Toney, Sam Whitlow, Wotko (Stephen) Long, Wayne Coser, Floyd Jones, Pete Coser, Mike Jones, Mac Englebretson and Joe Walker.
