He worked very hard as a baker..in the mid-50's, he owned and operated Roosevelt's Bakery, across the street from Roosevelts High School...I remember spending summer vacations with them, in the 50's.
He always left the house at 2:30am, so the bakery goods would be ready for the students.
He loved to go fishing in his spare time.
He later sold the bakery and worked for Lauck's Bakery on Olive St. in the Tower District.
His wife Molly, was fun...they built a beautiful life together, unable to have children of their own.
I remember a member of the family, a cat named Tippy...it was a well behaved cat, always staying on her mat when ask to..
They lived in a great house, on E. Platt, near E. Tulare & S. Sierra Vista Ave.
They had great Holiday partys.
