Mr. Wilbur Herman Kerker, 84, of Paloma, a retired farmer died at 12:13 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 9, 1994, in Blessing Hospital at 11th in Quincy.
He was born Oct. 28, 1909, in Quincy, a son of John and Mamie Walbeck Kerker. He married Doris Mildred Evans Feb. 7, 1931, in Liberty. She preceded him in death Aug. 13, 1989.
Mr. Kerker attended school in the Liberty area and farmed for many years in Adams County. After retiring he was employed by Paloma-Central Lumber Yard and built hog sheds for area farmers.
Survivors include two sons, Wilbur Ray Kerker of Mendon and Clyde Eugene Kerker of Quincy; three sisters, Joan Risch of Fowler, Bertha Robbins of Astoria, and Edith Becker of Lacygne, Ks.; 6 grandchildren, Mrs. Robbie (Paula) Humeniuk of Baudette, Minn., David Kerker of Loraine, Daniel Kerker of Redlands, Calif., Dennis Kerker of Mendon, and Michael and Michelle Kerker both of Quincy; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Alice Walton, Dorothy Pozek; and two brothers, Russell and Lowell Kerker.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12, 1994 in Curry-Hunter Funeral Home in Mendon by Rev. Jay Keele. Interment was in Paloma Cemetery in Paloma.
Memorials may be made to the Adams County Chapter of the American Heart Association.
