BREWER - IRA D., 82, of 3356 Lupton Drive, died Friday at his residence. A native of Alabama, he had lived in Chattanooga most his life. A member of Calvary Baptist Church, he was retired from the Rock Tenn Co. with 37 years of service and was a veteran of the 6th Calvary. Survivors include his wife, Blanche Reeves Brewer; one daughter, Doris B. English, two sisters, Ruby B. Williams and Jennie Downey, all of Chattanooga; one grandchild, two great-granchildren. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Kelton Williams officiating. Burial will be in Chattanooga Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today at the Coulter chapel. Arrangements by the Coulter Chapel of Lane Funeral Home.
