Jameelah N. Abdullah (Janice Delores Phelps), 60, of Beach Park, Illinois passed away peacefully on January 1, 2012.
Lois was born February 9, 1951 in Hermanville, MS to the late Julia Mae Ashmore and Phillip Phelps. She moved to North Chicago, IL (where she was a long time resident) and married Eugene Williams (Mustafa Abdullah). To this union two sons were born.
The family later chose Muslim as their faith and Lois changed her name to Jameelah.
Jameelah's precious memories will be shared by her sons; 3 adopted children; 4 brothers; 4 uncles; 3 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
