The sweater he's wearing in the pic was his favorite sweater. he loved the way it felt, and being as tall and thin as he was sometimes finding things that fit and were comfortable was a challenge.

He was much loved, and many grieved his loss, especially his brother in law, Gene Kindred GRid=121382430, with whom had an especially strong bond. When Phil became sick, it was Gene who took care of him for the weeks it took for his mother to make the needed arrangements.
