Lara Le Strand, 19, Hazen, passed away on July 30, 2012, in Bismarck, from injuries sustained in a car accident.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. CDT Thursday, Aug. 2, at Peace Lutheran Church, Hazen, with the Revs. Walt Wolff and Tim Balfanz officiating.

Burial will be held at 2 p.m. CDT Friday at Mountain Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 5:30 p.m. today at Peace Lutheran Church, Hazen.

Lara was born Nov. 12, 1992, at Pembina County Memorial Hospital to Robert and Candice (Byron) Strand. She was baptized at Vikur Lutheran Church, Mountain.

Lara graduated from Hazen High School in 2011 and was attending Bismarck State College for visual arts.

Lara was an extremely talented artist and musician. She had a zest for life that was contagious and will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends who loved her. Lara loved hunting with her family and spending time with all of them. She loved her brother more than anything. Lara also enjoyed spending time with her friends and all people.

Lara is survived by her parents, Robert and Candice, Hazen; her brother, Robert, also of Hazen; her maternal grandfather, Alfred Hanson, Mountain; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her brother, John; her grandparents, Arthur and Anna Marie Strand, John Byron and Hope (Byron) Hanson; and two uncles. (Barbot-Seibel Funeral Home, Hazen and Beulah)
