Dr. Pavy attended St. Charles college in Grand Coteau, Louisiana State university, and received his medical degree from Tulane university in New Orleans in 1904.
He began practicing first in Leonville and remained there until 1947, when he moved to Opelousas.
Dr. Pavy was a past president of the St. Landry parish school board. He was also a former member of the parish police jury and served as president for 17 years. He served in the Louisiana House of Representatives for one term. In 1928 he was an unsuccessful candidate for lieutenant governor.
At the time of his death he was serving as vice-president of the Arnaudville gravity drainage district. He was a member of the St. Landry and Louisiana Medical Societies and Woodmen of the World.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Monday at the St. Landry Catholic church. Burial will be in Myrtle Grove cemetery.
