Tom passed away peacefully on September 9, 2004, at his home in Phoenix, with his family at his side. He leaves behind his companion of 28 years, Janice L. Zarkis; sons, Ronald David of Cleveland, Thomas Michael (Aida) and David William, both of Phoenix; three grandchildren, Amanda Irene of Cleveland, Michael Benjamin and Christina Nicole of Phoenix; brother, Bob of Texas, Earl of Michigan; sister, Virginia Axford of Michigan.

As a car salesman of 50 years, he won many awards at Hutchinson Lincoln Mercury in Michigan and four years was top salesman. He moved to phoenix in 1983 and continued in the car business. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion and the Elks.

Private cremation services were conducted by Hansen Mortuary in Phoenix.
