Sep. 8, 2004 at his home. A native of Spartanburg County, he was widower of Mildred Brashears Collins and son of the late Dever and Willie Crain Collins. He was a retired farmer and saw mill operator. He was a member of Motlow Creek Baptist Church. Survivors include one son, Gary Collins and wife Judy, of Boiling Springs; one daughter, Brenda C. Storey and husband Robert, of Landrum; six brothers, Waymon and Norbert Collins, both of Landrum; E. Bryan Collins and Hoyt K. Collins, of Campobello, Zeddie L. Collins, of Greenville and Larry W. Collins, of Charlotte; one sister Mrs. Jamie Burns, of Campobello; two grandchildren, Christine Harrison, of Columbia and Sheri Williamson, of Macon, GA; one great-grandchild, Parker Williamson. Funeral services will be held Friday Sept. 10, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Motlow Creek Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Terry Rainey and Rev. Henry Farmer. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held tonight from 7:00 to 9:00 at Petty Funeral Home. The family is at the home. Petty Funeral Home, Landrum.
