Rev. George Andrew Wilson, son of James S. and Phoebe Caroline Neal Wilson, was born in Wayne County, Ill., July 23, 1860. He graduated from Southern Illinois College, Enfield, Ill., took his Masters Degree from Lincoln College, Lincoln, Ill. He received his Theological education at Lebanon, Tenn. Mr. Wilson first came to Rock Creek in August, 1908, and remained three and a half years. He called the attention of the church at large to the rural work and Rock Creek came into prominence as a worth while rural church.

After about four years' absence, he returned to Rock Creek where he has labored earnestly and acceptably to the present time. Mr. Wilson is a man of abounding faith in Christ, and a man of the highest ideals. He is a diligent student and a deep thinker. After conversation with him neither saint nor sinner leaves his presence without feeling an uplift toward a higher life.
