A car wreck claimed one woman's life near Harvest Works on North Post Road Saturday evening and a man has been charged in her death, according to N.C. Highway Patrol.
Kathy Ledford Dover, 56, of McBrayer-Homestead Road in Boiling Springs, was killed in a head-on collision around 6 p.m., according to Trooper B.C. Sanders.
Sanders said Richard Jenks, of Cherryville, was driving north on North Post Road when he went left of center and hit Dover's car which was traveling south, head-on.
Sanders said inattention, but not speed, was the cause of the wreck.
The speed limit on North Post Road is 45 miles per hour.
Jenks, who was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, was charged with misdemeanor death by vehicle, according to Sanders.
