"FROSTBURG — Carl E. Snyder, 48, of Depot Terrace, died last night in Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, following an extended illness. He was a son of Mrs. Rose (Lancaster) Snyder and the late Peter Snyder. Mr. Snyder was employed at the Kelly-Springfield Tire Company plant in Cumberland. Surviving, besides his mother, are his widow, Mrs. Bertha (Winebrenner) Snyder; two sons, Carl J. Snyder, Frostburg, and Francis L. Snyder, at home; two daughters, Miss Rosemary Snyder, Philadelphia, and Miss Virginia Snyder, at home; four brothers, Irvin Snyder, Eckhart; William L. Snyder, Frostburg; Cobey Snyder, Roanoke, Va., and Francis Snyder, Lonaconing; a sister, Mrs. Charles Rebele, New York, and three grandchildren. The body will be at the Hafer Funeral Home after 7 p.m. today."
