Dorothy Jean Elbert "Dottie", daughter of Henry and Emma Metscher was born April 26, 1929 in Covington, OK. She died Monday, March 18, 1996 at her home in Seneca, MO, at the age of 66 years.

Dorothy, better known as "Dottie," was one of three children. Dottie was the mother of seven children, 16 grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Victor was married to Dorothy on October 22, 1947 and together raised seven children. Dotti was self-employed all of her working life - having worked hand-in-glove with her husband, Victor. They owned a farm and raised many different animals, crops, and children on this farm for 48 years.

Dottie is survived by her husband, Victor of the home in Seneca; five daughters: Victoria Even, Joplin; Gloria Craven, Seneca; Kay Myers, Seneca; Theresa Hendrix, Coffeyville, KS; Monica Fullerton, Granby, MO; Two sons: Alvin Elbert and Tim Elbert, both of Seneca, MO; 16 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter, one sister: Idell Walls, Seneca; one brother, Richard Metscher, Carterville, MO and a host of friends.
