Services for Edna Mae(Byrd)Kemp held Tuesday Aug 11, at National Funeral Home in Clarksdale, Mississippi. Mrs. Kemp, 79, of Skiatook, died Aug 8, at her home in Skiatook.
Local arrangements were handled by Peters Funeral Home. Burial was in Drew City, MS.
Mrs. Kemp was born Aug 5, 1908 in Rankin, MS., ( * HEADSTONE SAYS 1909)to Mosilene D. Byrd and Laura(Crain)Byrd. She was reared and educated at Clarksdale, MS. On Feb. 23, 1930, she married Marvin I. Kemp in Mississippi, where they spent all of their married life.
Mr. Kemp preceded her in death Oct 12, 1968. She came to Skiatook 10 yrs ago to make her home with her daughter. Survivors are two daughters, Elizabeth Sutton of Skiatook, OK., and Allene Rummel of Macon, GA; a son, Marvin Kemp Jr. of Wayne, Michigan; six grandchildren; one sister, Mary Hanson of Clarksdale, MS., and a number of nieces and nephews.
