Found in The State 25 March 1935: Last rites for Egbert Francis Lilly, 67, were held yesterday afternoon from the residence at Windy Ridge farm, conducted by the Rev. F. T. Cox, pastor of Crescent Hill Baptist church. Interment followed in Crescent Hill Memorial Park cemetery. A pioneer in the hydro-electric field, he was the inventor of many electrical devices, the patents of which are held by the General Electric and Westinghouse companies. His death is widely regretted. He died at the Columbia hospital Friday night.
