======================== EDIT IN PROGRESS ========================
German Nazi official and State Secretary in the Reich Chancellery. He was born the son of a pastor in Grünfier, in the Prussian province of Posen (now Zielonowo, near Wieleń, Poland). He served in the German army during WW1, reaching the rank of lieutenant in the reserve. He passed the bar, and then worked as an assistant in the Reich Ministry of Justice. In 1938, he joined the Nazi Party and in February that year, was transferred to the Reich Chancellery as head of the Division B with the official title of "Permanent Secretary." In early 1942, he was promoted to "State Secretary" and thus became one of the 15 primary participants at the infamous Wannsee Conference of January 20, 1942. As a result, Kritzinger would eventually be arrested after the war, in 1946, along with most of the surviving attendees of the Conference. During the Nuremberg Trials, which he appeared as a witness, he publicly declared himself ashamed of all the atrocities committed by the Nazi regime. He was released, and died in Nuremberg the following year. He was portrayed in the star studded TV Movie/Docudrama, Conspiracy (2001), by actor David Threlfall.
