Dale Beatrice Mills Forinash was born in 1921 at Huff, Randolph County, WV. She married Raymond Kent Forinash in 1941, was the mother of 3 children, grandmother of 9, Great Grandmother of 22 and Great-Great Grandmother of 3 at the time of her death. She was employed by the Baltimore County Board of Education at the time of her retirement.


Dale Beatrice Mills Forinash, age 85 years, a resident of Conowingo, MD, passed away at 12:02 A.M. Tuesday, October 25, 2006 in the Calvert Manor Nursing Home of Rising Sun, MD, following an extended illness. She was born February 7, 1921 at Huff, WV, a daughter of the late Edgar Lee Mills and Anna Florence Shreve Mills. She retired from the Baltimore County School System after working as a day matron at Fullerton Elementary School for 15 years. On October 15, 1941 in Mill Creek, she was married to Raymond Forinash who survives. Also surviving are two sons; Kenneth Forinash and wife Stella of Jamestown, NC, Kevin Forinash and wife Linda of Cobbtown, GA, one daughter, Bonita Adkins and husband Ollin of Conowingo, MD and one sister, Eva Grace Currence who is a patient in the Elkins Regional Convalescent Center. Nine grandchildren; Juanita Haden, Barbara Roland, Kenneth Forinash, Jr., Sean Forinash, Tami Zirkle, Jackie Brooks, Olga Adkins Coulbourne, Amy Blevins and Shane Forinash, 22 great grandchildren and two great-great granchildren also survive. Preceding her in death were six brothers, Harold, Darius, Hertzel, Bayard, Everett and Denver Mills, two sisters, Beulah Watson, Waneda Daniels, and one great-great granddaughter, Ashley Dowell.
Mrs. Forinash attended Porter's Grove Baptist Church in Conowingo, MD and was a member of the Jerusalem United Methodist Church of Mill Creek, WV.
Friends may call from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM Sunday, October 29, 2006 at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, October 30, 2006 from the funeral home chapel. Rev. W.E. Shifflet of Baltimore, MD, a family friend for over 50 years, will officiate and interment will follow in the Elkins Memorial Gardens. Charitable contributions in Dale's memory may be made to the Susan B. Kohman Breast Cancer Foundation, P.O. Box 248, Rising Sun, MD 21911 in memory of Mrs. Forinash.
