Mr. Adkins died Monday, October 28, 1996. Born in West Columbia, he was a son of the late C. Ranson and Esther Lambeth Adkins.
He was a member of Dutch Fork Baptist Church, a lifetime member of Richland Masonic Lodge #39, a Shriner and was retired from the Columbia Fire Department after 36 years of service.
Surviving are a son, Paul O. Adkins of Hilton Head; two nieces; two nephews; four grandchildren.
