IRMO - Services for Paul R. "Choppy" Adkins, 81, of 107 Evergreen Dr., will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Bush River Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel.
Visitation is 7 to 8 tonight at Caughman-Harman Funeral Homes, Irmo-St. Andrews Chapel.
Mr. Adkins died Monday, October 28, 1996. Born in West Columbia, he was a son of the late C. Ranson and Esther Lambeth Adkins.
He was a member of Dutch Fork Baptist Church, a lifetime member of Richland Masonic Lodge #39, a Shriner and was retired from the Columbia Fire Department after 36 years of service.
Surviving are a son, Paul O. Adkins of Hilton Head; two nieces; two nephews; four grandchildren.
