Thomas Benjamin Forehand, age 68, passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2011, at his residence. He was born in Shamrock, Florida, to the late Benjamin, and Jeannette O'Neal Forehand. In 1961 he graduated from Dixie County High School,Cross City, FL, where he played the tackle position on the Bears football team. He lived in Louisiana for a while and had lived in Perry since 1980. Mr. Forehand worked as a rail car cleaning contractor for CSX Railroad. He had attended Northside Church of God. He enjoyed saltwater fishing and was a UF gator fan. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Sandra Hill Forehand of Perry, FL, three sons: Benjamin Forehand of Cross City, Fl; Thomas Daniel Forehand and Terry Forehand of Perry, Florida; and one step-daughter Tammy Holden and husband Jimmy, all of Perry, FL, brothers: Jimmy Forehand, Bobby Forehand, Ronnie Forehand, Billy Forehand and Johnny Forehand; sisters: Nancy Forehand Abels and Jeanie Forehand Rollison; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren One brother, Wayne Forehand preceded Mr. Forehand in death.
Funeral Services transpired on Saturday, June 25, 2011 with his brother-in-law, Rev. John Darrell Roberts officiating.
