Eleanor was the daughter of Motokichi and Tomeyo (Tada) Maeno and both of her parents preceded her in death. Her loving husband, Baron "Mr. B" Bourgeois, also preceded her in death, as did one son, Dennis (Aileen) Bourgeois, and three (3) brothers, Albert (Minnie) Maeno, Kenneth and George Maeno.
At the time of Eleanor's death she was survived by three (3) sons, Gregory, Gary, and Tracy Bourgeois; two (2) daughters, Vicki (Gary) Faber and Lisa (John) Bourgeois-Hall; six (6) grandchildren and eleven (11) great-grandchildren; four (4) sisters, Bessie Cummings, Bernice Saiki, Alice Victorino, and Jane Kashiwabara; one (1) brother, James Maeno. Eleanor's brother James passed away approximately 10 weeks after her.
Arrangements were handled by Ordenstein's Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary. A Celebration of Life luncheon was held on April 29, 2009 at the Valley of the Temples Chapel lanai; the family requested Aloha attire be worn.
