The family moved to Grand Rapids when Jim was a young boy. There he met Agnes Christrup in high school. They married and had two daughter's. Betty and Judy.
Jim worked at various jobs, factory worker, truck driver and bartender. The family moved to White Cloud in 1947. They bought a General store at Diamond lake. That same year in Oct. James died unexpectely. He was 40 years old.
Jim had many hobbies. He loved hunting, fishing and bowling. He also liked playing softball. In high school he was on the football team.
