Drexel Joe Roberts, 58, of Mud River, died Aug. 20, 2003, at home.
He was a disabled Westmoreland coal miner, a member of UMWA and a member of Olive Branch Missionary Baptist Church.
Surviving: ex-wife, Karen; sons, Steven of Chapmanville, John “Jay” of Burgaw, NC, Paul of Kemersville, NC, and Rodney of Mud River; daughter, Kara Jo Horton of Mud River; sisters, Betty Bias of Danville and Peggy Johnson of Mud River; brother, James Roberts of Chapmanville; and five grandchildren.
Graveside service was 2 p.m.
August 23, 2003, at Roberts Cemetery, Mud River with the Rev. James Sheets and Mark White officiating.
