Prussian Aristocracy. Born Kira Auguste Viktoria Friederike at Cadinen, the fourth child of Prince Louis Ferdinand of Prussia and Grand Duchess Kira Kirillovna Romanov of Russia. As a member of the House of Hohenzollern, she gained the title of Prinzessin von Preußen. She studied languages at the universities of Berlin and Erlangen and worked as a teacher of public speaking. She held a seat on the board of governors of the music festival 'Kissinger Sommer' in Bad Kissingen. In 1973, she married Thomas Liepsner, the couple had one daughter before divorcing. She was involved in the Prinzessin-Kira-von-Preussen Foundation that was started by her mother. She succumbed to cancer at the age of 60. A funeral service was held on January 21 at the Kaiser-Wilhelm-Gedächtniskirche in Berlin.
