J. Everette Sanders, a former chairman of the Richmond County Board of Supervisors, died Wed. Jan 28, 1976. A native and lifelong resident of Warsaw, he served on the Board of Supervisors for about 14 years during the 1950's and 1960's. Mr. Sanders was also president of the Northern Neck Electric Cooperative from 1939 until 1972, and director of the Northern Neck State Bank from 1945 until 1974. In 1954, he was named "Farmer of the Year" by the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, and in 1964 he was named an 1964 he was named an outstanding citizen of Richmond County. Mr. Sanders was a former president of the Warsaw Rotary and Ruritan clubs and a deacon at Cobham Park Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs Hilda H. Sanders; one son Boatwright Sanders; one sister, Mrs. Anna S. Pemberton, Warsaw; and two brothers, Sederick Sanders of Manassas and Lowery Sanders of Warsaw. Interment at Warwas United Methodist Church.
