Mr. H. Madison Boone, the last surviving member of the family of twelve children of the late Henry Boone, died at his home in Irish Corner district this county on Sunday night, April 24, 1921, at about nine o'clock. His age was about 82 years. Mr. Boone was a splendid citizen of unassuming disposition, a kindly feeling of good will toward all and highly useful in his sphere. He was twice married, his first wife being a native of Ohio. His second wife was Miss Nancy J. Myers, who survives him. Together with two sons by his first marriage. Charles H. Boone, one of the oldest brakemen on the C & O railway, and William H. Boone of Ronceverte. The funeral was held on Monday, April 25th at Salem Church, the services being conducted by Rev. A Grogg of Ronceverte. Deceased has been a member of the Mehtodist Episcopal Church for many years.
